Inspect JSON Web Token (JWT) headers, custom claims, expiration dates, and signatures securely.
Decoded header will appear here...Decoded payload will appear here...The JWT Decoder & Token Inspector is an offline, privacy-first security tool that parses encoded JSON Web Tokens (RFC 7519) into readable, structured JSON components: the Header (algorithm and token type), the Payload (standard claims such as iss, sub, aud, exp, nbf, iat, plus custom claims), and the Signature digest. Ideal for debugging OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect tokens, Supabase, Firebase, Auth0, and Cognito authentication sessions without exposing private bearer tokens to external networks.
This tool inspects and decodes the token structure. Signature verification requires your private key or HMAC secret, which should remain securely stored on your backend server.
Yes. Our decoder runs 100% in client-side JavaScript within your browser session. Your tokens, email claims, and roles are never uploaded or stored.
It automatically parses registered RFC 7519 claims including iss (issuer), sub (subject), aud (audience), exp (expiration time), nbf (not before), and iat (issued at).
If the Unix timestamp in the exp claim is earlier than your computer's current time, the token is expired and will be rejected by API authentication middleware.
